PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Designed to accommodate over 5,000 worshippers, this mosque seamlessly blends Mughal architectural inspiration with a refined contemporary approach. Situated on a challenging site, the planning strategically utilizes a lower ground floor that houses more than one-third of the total capacity, allowing for efficient spatial use without compromising the grandeur of the prayer experience.
The main prayer hall is complemented by two prayer pavilions and a central open courtyard, fostering a sense of community and openness. Thoughtfully designed circulation provides dedicated drop-offs on both sides, along with a separate entrance for female worshippers to ensure ease and dignity. Ablution areas are generously provided and conveniently located near both entrances for accessibility.
Architecturally, the mosque pays homage to the region’s Mughal heritage through its form and expression, while incorporating modern sensibilities in functionality, planning, and detail.
